Project 1: Modern Genius
The first project was a group work, we needed to investigate about modern geniuses and then, we talked about our special skills. In our case, my group talked about Akrit Jaswal, he was The World’s Youngest Surgeon at 7 Years.

Project 2: Does money mean power?
In this project, we needed to do a Research about cases of people who are making a difference in their communities by getting involved in business and making money.
We selected to Dr. Franklin Chang Díaz and his company Ad Astra Rocket Company because this project is located in Costa Rica.

Project 3: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
In this project, we need to produce a campaign to raise awareness on your topic and how is affecting our world. Each group had a different problem.
Our specific topic was: Loss of Biodiversity: Is Human activity leading to the extinction of species and habitats and and loss of bio-diversity?
We understand there may be a biodiversity crisis, but how does that affect me?”
Biological diversity is the resource upon which families, communities, nations and future generations depend. It is the link between all organisms on earth, binding each into an interdependent ecosystem, in which all species have their role. It is the web of life.
But we are currently using 25% more natural resources than the planet can sustain As a result species, habitats and local communities are under pressure or direct threats (for example from loss of access to fresh water).

Project 4: HOW DO PEOPLE RESPOND TO ADVERSITY?
This presentation was about a story of a person who has had to deal with a lot of adversity. Also, we needed to answer the question: How do people respond to adversity?
We choose to Frida Kahlo.
She was a Mexican painter known for her self-portraits. Her work has been celebrated as emblematic of Mexican national and by feminists for its uncompromising depiction of the female experience and form.
recovering from her injuries.She suffered lifelong health problems, many of which were caused by a traffic accident she survived as a teenager. She painted and it helped
torecovering from her injuries.
Oral Presentation # 1:
It was a little presentation about me. In this presentation, I needed to develop the next questions:
1.What are your goals for your career or your personal life?
2.What challenges do you think you will face in achieving these goals?
This activity was very interesting because I could get better acquainted with my new colleagues , I could know what they do, what they study and other things.

We investigate and we had to be ready to explain the issue, definition, give examples, an activity and give advice on how to make a difference based on our theme.

In class work # 1: ARCADES
During the quarter, we perform different games. I liked a lot this kind of activities because they were fun, we could always improvise and we could practice the different tenses.
I do not remember having performed this kind of activity in other English classes, but really these activities are very helpful and help us improve.

In this activity, we needed to use the differents situations and tense to make Questions.
After this, we answered these questions correctly. Always the group chose a winner and the teacher gave him a chocolate.
